You don’t have to go very far to have heard or seen an advertisement for an instructional course. These courses usually include books and/or CD’s, DVD’s to deliver the instruction. Some of these courses are videos that can be watched on Internet videos. These courses can cover any subject imaginable. Especially on topics that are in demand.
Nowadays the Internet is as in demand as something can be. And people want to know what they can accomplish by using the Internet and what options there are. And we all know there is an abundant amount of options of the things that you can do on line and with the Internet applications.
As a result there are many people that have put together some programs to help individuals to learn how to use the Internet and all its glory. Among them are programs that break down the Internet options and different applications by topic; for example instructional companies offer instruction for using eBay on one DVD and then they offer a course on Internet marketing on another. And on it goes.
The variety of topics that are covered is quite a vast array. They run from Internet business related topics to web site topics. There is also instruction in things like HTML, Photoshop, Windows and other computer related tools and programs. There are courses that cover more complicated topics also.
But hold on there, we are not focusing on the education value of this subject. We’re talking about the creating and marketing of this type of product. Who has not heard of the Video Professor? Now I am not endorsing or condemning his product but clearly he is doing well for himself.
Perhaps you have a better or more innovative method to teach people valuable computer know how? Or maybe you can offer more at more competitive price? Or perhaps you know of a better product than is not being marketed aggressively enough and you can fix that problem?
There is a market and there is room for new fresh ideas or approaches. For example as far as I can tell there are not many on line interaction courses available. Oh there are on line courses to download and there are on line instructional courses. But if I were qualified I would set up so 30 to 60 minute sessions to cover detailed topics in a “piano lesson” style.
I am picturing a one on one interactive lesson over the web. You could develop it to a point where the computers are linked together and the instructor could watch the student in action. (And if this idea is already out there in the concept form I am suggesting I apologize) But I truly see this as a wide open arena that could be professionally tapped.
Picture yourself with weekly students that pay you by the lesson or for a package of lessons. And then at a pre-arranged time you and your student could meet on line through an “on line class room”. Then you could set up and give them a systematic curriculum based on their needs, desires, and level of knowledge.
On the other hand as we have discussed you can investigate the present programs that are being offered and see if you can improve on it or join in on marketing it. Either way or even including any new innovation the market for people wanting computer and Internet education is climbing. If you can deliver the knowledge and or market the knowledge there is no reason you shouldn’t cash in on it by way of an income.
In time this could become a lucrative career for you!
