Default Nintendo as teaching tool?

The Nintendo-DS is not just for fun and games any more for English students at Tokyo's Joshi Gakuen all-girl junior high school.

It is now used as a key teaching tool, sort of a high tech spelling bee

well there is nothing wrong with that! Watching the history channel helped me get a history degree lol. As long as it sticks in your brain or helps you to understand something a little better i have absolutely no problem with it.

You are absolutely right on this point; if you can get educated and entertained at the same time, why not?

The key to all education retaining the knowledge. Before some of my exams I would sit for hours on end writing out hte same information over and over again to get it to stick in my mind. On other occasions I could just watch a history channel programme and it would stick straight away.
