Despite the lackluster stock market in general and the IPO market in particular, Facebook's possible floatation had created plenty of excitement and hype.
This would be great news for investors but I think the real winner would be the creator of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. He is theoretically worth 1.5 billion American dollars - not bad for someone in his early 20s. If I were Mark I would sell up now. Take the moeny and run Kiddo
Yes but isn't 99.9% of his so-called wealth theoretical at the moment? after all its all tied up on cider space not in his bnk account. The only really money he makes at the current time is through advertisment and not many facebook users are happy with that!
Just because he's only worth his weight in Cyber Space, does not mean the wealth is theoretical. He could stream all that money into his bank account right now, if it's stored on Paypal, or something of the sort.
No it really is theortecial its what his website, Facebook, is potentially worth in terms of advertsing space and the number of people who can be reached. If 99.9 per cent of facebook users disssappeared tomorrw he would be worth almosy nothing. Harsh reality of the internet.
