China to beat India in outsourcing

Many companies are moving away from India and looking at China and Eastern Europe for their outsourcing needs. India is losing its sheen as a cheap service provider while more and more Chinese are getting comfortable with english, creating a new work force for big MNCs. This year itself 4 offshore units were opened in China compared to only two in India. Looks like the days of India's reign are limited and its time for China to wear the outsourcing crown.

Once the English barrier is overcome or the need for English is minimal, India's advantage is no more - China will reign supreme in many areas in the future.

Actually it's pretty common to see this happening. Once investment were put in, in time to come engineers start to demand more and currency strengthening will start to take place. That's when outsourcing starts to lose its appeal and companies start to divert their attention to other places.
