Default Customer Loyalty Program

I came across this marketing term and thought maybe want to get input from members here on your thoughts and ideas. It has always been a good practice for established companies to value and treasure their long time old customers by offering Customer Loyalty Program to attract them and actually reward them based on their continued purchase and sales on their particular brand and products. Most successful companies noted for integrating this marketing idea is Taco Bell whereby loyal customers were each assigned reward points and value and the companies will actually pay the equivalent amount for the period the customer remains loyal. To them old customer are more valued and more effort is put on maintaining them rather than focusing on getting new customers.

This is a wonderful idea and it works.

I have such a program installed on my sites. When someone orders for the first time they pay the price that is on the site. About two - three weeks after the sale is completed - I email my customer to make sure they are happy with their purchase and I send along a discount code for them to use for ALL future orders. That way, I find out that they liked the product - so I have a "testimonial" to use and I also get a repeat customer because they are happy for the savings.

Yeah, I think that's the word. "Discount code". Wow, seems that you already have everything setup in place and you really put emphasis on providing and protecting your customers' needs

To me, I believe all successful companies have that program in place to reward and keep the customers to come back for more. The exception of course is like monopoly business whereby customers still have to use it even though they are not happy with the product. (ie. Microsoft )

Certainly customer loyalty program is important; firms has been spending milliions on privilege, reward and discount cards. The other less mentioned benefit to business is the big potential for data-mining of customers' profile and spending pattern.
