Stone Computers

I have recently had a run in with "stone computers" most likely the WORST company you can buy from. They offer you "cheap and powerful machines at low low prices"....


3gig P4 with 512 ram, not going to go into full spec's but the chip is poor, the speed it poor and the ram cop's out after a month. Getting replacement parts is a pain as it can take weeks to get it sorted.

There customer service leaves much to be..... well.... lets just say I would have more luck phoning up a pshycic hotline to get this weeks lottory numbers then getting some good help or a replacement.

The only reason we went with stone is because one of the techys they send out, level headed, a good laugh and actually really good at his job. But this is not a good reason to stay with a company but meh.

In the end we switched to dell after the poor service we have had for 3 years in a row. Safe to say you do not save anything by buying from stone

Well thanks for informing us. Will keep a watch on these. Sometimes it's really hard to trust when companies offer products at cheap price. And most of the time, it's not really what we expect for.

Works out that the Dell machines were cheaper in bulk and they rock

Dell cheap? Hmm....I know they offer Latitude range at around price of $1400. Some would consider it reasonable but I know there are other assemblers (with no brand name) that can offer only about $900 with the same product spec.
