Ello all, as you all know by now I love to learn and love to talk about new things, If there is anyone out there who would like a tutorial written from the prospective of someone who is just a user like yourself and not a paid professional and actually get to know the software properly drop your name down below and add the software and will see what I can do for you

Also if its just one thing in general you want to know about I will try my best to help

It's very hard to answer that.
They are 3 different things.


FTP = File Transfer Protocol = This is used to upload your files to the server.

Wordpress = Free Blogging platform = You can use it to create your own blog.

MSQL = It is the world's most popular open source database software.


If you want to start your own blog, then a combination of these three is a very good way to go.

mySQL is the major part of wordpress, as it stores..well..everything, all you need to use wordpress:

1. A mySQL database
2. The username and password

Thats all you need for it to run, ftp allows you to upload the files to a working directory (for example /srv/www/htpdocs/ which would normally show up on your FTP client as ftp://site.com/)

there are alot of free ftp clients you can use, or if you feel as if you do not want to download anything you can use windows explorer to access ftp sites:

This normally prompts for a password, if you have it and it works then you can simple drag and drop

Wordpress is easy to install, once you have the SQL stuff ready all you need to run (when its uploaded)

This will ask for:

1. Database name
2. Username
3. Password
4. Server - Leave as localhost - normaly works without a hitch
5. prefix - This is only what your wordpress bits on the database will be tagged with, so if you want more then one on one mySQL server then you can just change the "wp_" to "wp1_" or what ever you want
