Posting Comments on Wrdpress??????

One thing i noticed about my wordpress blog is that in order to post a comment to any post it always asks any user to sign in.

Is it the way with all wordpress blogs?????

Can i post any comments without signing in??? Can i let any viewer post comment directly???

If yes how???

Yes. YOu can comment without sign in. But the owner must setup that first. If not, nothing you can do. Sometimes many owner want they people sign in before comment at his blog. So, its up to you..

I mean i myself is the owner of that blog. Most of my visiters dont preffer to sign up but did wanted to comment on my posts so i wanted to make it that way that they could directly comment to my posts without signing in.

How can i do that?

YOu need to setup it from your account. You need to disable that sign up. I believe you must see that. You use wordpress as your platform right?

Ya i got it already but forgot to post it here.

For any ones knowledge who dosent know, you can go to admin panel and options and there you can deselect "user must be signed in to comment".

So thats it you can allow users to comment directly.

Finally you answer it. So, i don't think you have problem to let others people comment to your blog without register first right? before that, i also never notice about that, but after i see at option and others plugin. I start to understand how wordpress works..

Ya the users no more need to register to to the blog in order to comment. Its fine with regular bloggers they would sign up every time the comment but other people or may be others always neglect when they are asked to sign up even when they are intrested in posting an comment

May be they enjoy it now

I usually have the users sign up just to avoid any spam that could result from having anyone being allowed to post on the blog. But that's just because I don't want extra work.

Its a totally ne blog what i have set up. So i wanted to establish some traffic earlier. Some users do get annoyed to sign up and comment so just wanted to avoid it.

By the way i have kept the moderation on. So any comments posted are into que for moderation and then they appear.

If it becomes too much for me then ill think of the otherway round to avoid spam

But till now its fine. Hardly any comments and hardly any posts

Well that's all right. But if you get traffic, expect bots to start hitting you soon. :P They seem to jump on any chance they get to spam sites with their links to adult sites or proxy sites or whatever they may be spamming.

Noticed that. Even got some

But every time receive a mail asking for moderation so its fine with me there at present cos there isant huge traffic. But once the traffic grows i think that can get a bit difficult

Isant it??

May be that time ill need to swich off again to the normal procedure of signing and commenting

Yap. It also happen at blogger blog. You must set it first. Its already default and some visitor who want to comment something in your blog will think its wasting their time to register first. They prefer to comment easily without register.

Even myself also hate to register..
