I usually look for price when looking for a host. Another important factor is that the amount of web space offered and bandwidth. You will never know as the size of your site can pile up really fast. Other less important factors which I look at is whether there is ftp access provided.

Agree with you. But one more thing i would like to stress upon is i have seen hosting ompanies providing huge space like about 10Gb 15GB or even 100gb ith some TB bandwidth for about $10 permonth or may be less than that.

How do they preffer to do that?? So according to you is that advisable????

I just feel scared to use such hosts but if you go to see they are the number 1 hosts online. Any comments???

In terms of finding a host, I usually like to read hosting reviews and customer ratings. I also ask for input from other peope online. This is a good way to get information about what hosts are good and which ones are not. The host should have methods of customer support that are easy to use. They should also be competitively priced.

Ya the process of asking people online does help a lot cos we get feed back from live crowd who might have had an experience with certain hosts. That can be very helpful.

But i realy would not like to depend on hosting review sites for host selection cos what i have noticed that they actually dont provide some good reviews and usually they include their affiliate links so they tend to review things better from where they get paid more.

This may not be the case with all such sites but mostly do follow this track. So any good review sites that youll have known???

Generally many web master forums contain a web host section in which customers provide input on which hosts to avoid or that have problems.

On another topic, with regards to what to look for in a host, I would look for the uptime and support. If your site goes down, you want a good support team who can help with the problem. However, a good uptime is really essential as you don't want those downtimes.

Uptime i think is most important i think what i should consider isant it. After that support may be youll never need any support but that uptime is what you really need.

Ill prefer to rely on reviews at forums here as you said cos mostly all hosts say that they provide 99.9% Uptime. But only some do provide.

If you dont mind sharing then according to your personal experience which host do you preffer and use.

For me, i will use which many people use it. Maybe like godaddy or hostgator. If from my local country, might netkl.com and namsahaz.com. So far, i stay with this host since 2-3 years ago. Its good and i really familiar with their service.

So far, local host also have same quality like international host.
