You should whenever possible create a contact us page. If a customer is looking specifically to contact you then it is much easier for them to look for a page that is called Contact Us than it is to search all over your site to try to find where best to contact you.
Also put a physical address in your footer area and a phone number, email address etc. In your header area you should place a phone number for your customers to call you.
Lots of times customers will want to feel that they can contact someone should a problem arise and if you use a credit card processor - many processor companies insist you have contact info on at least your home page.
Yeah, it's important so that visitors can interact and forward questions to us. I try to make it as visible as possible and place somewhere especially at the top whereby it will get people's attention. Thanks for your thoughts there.
Well, practically you can include anything and numerous ways to get people to reach to you...Skype, messenger, including business premises address, so that you won't miss any opportunities
I think this is really obvious...I don't see why there's a need to post this - it's common sense. Any web master/designer with more than half a braincell knows that they need a contact page where applicable. But still, they are needed. So thanks for helping out those webmaster who have yet to learn to dress themselves...
Ya agree with you. Its needed. Many people are intrested in contacting the admin in any problems related to the site or their account ect. Sometimes we can also get any comments or may be someone points out to any problem in the code or site.
Also there indeed lots of corrospondance for advertisements and link exchange ect. May be that ill help a lot.
On my latest site i havent done it yet but plan to do it ASAP.

I already do that too. But some people might be don't know about that mesengger like YM or skype. WHy i said that? Because its happen to me several times. Sometimes, put our email also really a big help to others people who want to reach us.
Please remember - what is obvious to you may not be obvious to others.
Also, some people are afraid to put their contact info on their site because the internet is so vast that they are afraid of preditors calling their home - lots of us website owners work out of our home - where our children are and our grandparents.
I posted the reminder to put contact info on the page because it is important - not something to be overlooked or ignored because of fear. Everyone should find some way that they are comfortable with to put some contact info on thier site other than only an email address. If people are afraid they could at least add with their email address an approx location. Like for mine I could put [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - Fingerlakes, NY.
I believe your post calling other webmaster's names could hurt someone's feelings and make them feel like since they didn't have contact info on thier site - for whatever thier reason - that they are now put down.
I may be out of line here but I think it should be that we post informative, constructive criticism. Name Calling should be left to the little children that have not been taught a better way yet. And if this hurts your feelings, then I am sorry but a forum could turn very nasty very fast if posts like yours continue to surface.
You may ask a question or post something someday that is obvious to everyone else and you should not be put down for it.
If you feel as if you would rather not give out a personal e-mail address on a website there are tones of free web based clients (for example hotmail!) or you could simply set up a spare e-mail if you own the .com or .co.uk
You really should include more than just an email address though. Take my word for it or don't - it is totally up to the individual but there have been studies done and the sites that get the most business have more than an email for contact info. They do these studies for a reason and it is not to entertain themselves.
Also, if you use a credit card processor on your site - they will REQUIRE you to put a physical address and phone number on your site.
Yes having a contact page with all the ways to reach you/your business is ideal. You can include things like phone support if offered, emails and in some cases for a business even mailing adresses.
Nah...Not in any way should this post be regarded as spam. It's just an active discussion to say what we should do and what we should not do. Some may not be compelled to include certain information but in whatever method, it should be made simple and straightforward for the potential customers to reach us.
