Default Creating a Database

Can anyone direct me to a GOOD tutorial on how to create a Database? I am completely new to all of this but willing to learn. I was trying to use this one [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] but that wasn't working for me. I need something like The Morons Guide to making a database lol I don't need to make anything complicated just a simple 4 column page.

Thanks!

What would it be used for? Sorry to ask but I find before trying to help its nice to know what I would be dealing with. In the end a SQL database is simple to set up and its always set up the same way (best way is a php script which logs in to the database and creates tables without you having to do it by hand) but its down to how you want it

Well this is my site [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] I enter every one of the items on the tables manually, rearrange them manually, sort them manually. It was okay in the beginning but now that the content is getting bigger and bigger everyday its getting VERY hard and tedious. I have no idea how to use MySQL. I have looked at my CP but I just don't know what any of it means
