Even i till now use html cos i am not well versed with php. But for some pages you do need to have php. For example he contact us pages or feed back forms as they need validations to be made. I n that case i use PHP.

But using either does it have any importance in SEO or in indexing. Not much knowledge about it?

Looking for some more comments on this.

HTML according to me is preety simple. Its just something like the basic. Only CSS is a bit of trickey. But HTML its too simple

PHP its really tuff. But once you are thorough with it i think then you are the king of web development. Cos PHP is the thing with which you can do any thing. You just need to write the script and all the rest is done by it.

Yes. Html is simple. Thats why we need to know about that. Some my friends never knwo what is html and how to use it and how to edit it. So, i think its important if some newbie know about html.

Css? Yes. Sometimes its hard to for me to understand some part.

PHP is fine. Just need to focus if you want to play with php.

HTML vs. PHP?
HTML is client side language that is used to define the content and layout of a page. You cannot really compare this to a server side processing language which is used for completely different purposes.
HTML has become a neccessary tool for web development, however, as mentioned CSS is becoming a more frequent enhancement to HTML.
PHP is an option processing language that you can use to connect and extract data dynamically from a database or other files.
Both languages are useful in their own way, however the first you should master is HTML as static pages will be your first concern, as well as layout and presentation of data. If you need to, then master PHP, which would be useful if you are gathering data dynamically that is constantly being updated (e.g. news).
