Photoshoped image gets a bit distorted??? Why?

Need help with the photoshoped header of my blog [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

As you can see on the header of my blog the edges of the photoshoped pictures do not appear smooth but appear rough and serrated !

Why does this happen? It happened to me a couple of times. Not only for for this one but some others also.

Ho do i get rid of it?

Your blog is very sweet looking and having a nice layout.

Are you asking for that leaf shape? You should rasterize the image and try storing it in jpeg or jpg format. Sometimes, when we change the picture format, it gets compressed or distorted.

Oh sorry! I think i should ask the mods or admin to close close this tread now.

The blog is out of service now. It was hosted on that platform ie "blogcharm". But they are no more functional nor my blogs are
