Do you design your own sites?

Just curious here, as with the programming one. Do you design your own sites or do you hire someone to do it for you or do you use the free templates around the web? For me, you know the answer, I design and code my own sites; so everything I make is 100% original.

Let me know your say.

I do try and design some times but also use some free resources available online. I only amin to make my site look good. So may be if i come across any good template i do use it sometime later.

I m a bit ok with HTML buy very weak in PHP and all those stuff so i intend to use some scripts available in case of some php sites or othere and then try and modify them

Overall i try and make something out of all thats available

Before that, i'm using my friends to design for me. But after i learn something about design, i manage to do that. Its easy if you really know how to do that, but its really difficult if you never learn.

I have to hire people to design my sites since this in not my area of expertise. I am trying to learn more about website design and hope that at some point I will be able to do my own sites.

Usually I will start off using a template and then make some adjustments to it. I will be much more easier if you can understand the html code and change it accordingly. However, I'm not good at tables and most of the time really make the page turn into a mess

Ha ha, well you can always ask for help here.

I code to valid w3c standards. So I can offer help that should work on most browsers. My latest website as you can see in my signature is designed and coded by me.

You can learn it always. But if you think its really hard and you not have any idea how to make it looks great. why not you try to hired someone?

Its more better if you can learn from the basic. Try NVU at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

THat one will help you how to learn and make web design..

YOu are welcome. I also learn from basic before i know how i can make my own site. Even its really basic. Its enough to me.

I design my own or, sometimes, with blogs or forums, etc. I'll either use a custom skin, or customize a skin myself...It's actually really fun designing/coding layouts/skins/websites...

So, its really good right? I hope you can earn well from your site and do anything you love with your site. Some people really like to make some site to heard music only.
