Default In what format do you save images on your site?

In what format do you preffer to use images on your site? Is it PNG, jpg, gif .... or what?

Till now i have been using png and sometimes .gif. I think png images dont get distorted much. Isant it?

What format do you use? I just want my images to load as fastest possible and not to get distorted even if enlarged.

I usually use jpg. It is much smaller compared to saving to gif and the rest and the image will also don't get distorted easily.

I generally use .jpg for real life images and .gif for images such as logo, buttons, banners, etc. Rarely I use .png insted of gif images when I want them to be of high quality.

I see most of youll using jpg. i always thought jpg get distorted if over streached or if size was increased and so on.

Think even i should switch to using jpj.

By the way which format images load fastest. Cos i dont want them to take time for loading. I want them to load instantly.

So for that whats the best?

For me, I usually save photos in .JPG format at the best quality. However, for web design, I would go for .PNG instead. I hardly save in .GIF anymore since they are rather poor in quality. I have the tendency to lean towards .PNG.

Of course, jpg, it is fast, quality and easy to load. I have tried with png which is also good but I always recommend jpg. The Quality Remains same but the size shrinks down.
