Tags Cloud???? How is it done???

These days on most of the sites i see the Tag Cloud used???
Most probably i think its used for the pourpose of SEO??? Is it???

What i wanted to know is is it built personally or is it a custom script?? If its built then does any one how its done????

It is a widget script you can download, they are used for Search Engine Optimization but also can be used as a crazy new way to use a menu, Ive seen a few sites completely remove menus and use them now, its interesting to say the least

But thats for wordpress, you might need to search depending on what you use for your site

It seems to be a wordpress widget ???? Anyways will check it out as i need it for Wp too.

But any idea how it can be implemented on other sites or non wordpress sites. By the way never knew that it was used as an menu too. Intreasting!!!!

I will look into it, I know you can make tag clouds without wordpress (mainly done via php). Should be able to find it by tomorrow lunch

Thanks for the help. I did googl around and found some PHP scripts. But havent have tried them untill now. Will try them as soon as i get some free time.

Any ways may be any thing that you suggest is also acceptable as far as its not much complicated

I found a few PHP with SQL scripts, they are the best bet if you dont want to use wordpress (which uses PHP and SQL anyway lol)

Oh wow! Thanks. Can you post it here if you dont mind or may be in the tutorial section. Will check it out and implement it. As well check it and compare it with the one i got viz Googling.

But you said that its easy stuff??? more easier more better

Ehm, i think its good for SEO. So far, i'm not really use it. But i can see its working and some people said its also good for Page rank and make your site easily find at search engine.

Ya! They the would definately serve the pourpose of SEO as well as make your site rank very well is search engine. And why not it is definately happen cos after all you can stuff any keywords into the tag cloud

So may be while selecting the keywords w would need to think sensibly so that we get utmost benifit from it

The two best ones I found were:

and

The top one is the best as it goes into detail about the sql connection alittle more then the second one

I see. Thanks for confirm about that and i think i need to use more tag next time. I believe this one not only will give our blog SEO friendly, its also will increasing traffic soon. No wonder i see many people use tags cloud at their blog.
