Default How large

I am not sure how large I should make my website in terms of pages. i want to have a business website where people can learn about my service and my business. I also want to have an order page. But I am not sure if the website itself should be very short or have severeal pages.

If its a business portal then you dont need much of pages just to add bulk. It could always be short and sweet and on to the point describing about your business.

If its huge and irrelevent people may be confused too. You can use whatever pages you need like about us, our company, contact us, order, our products, ect some specific pages would be very nice.

To tell you the fact my business portal has only 6 pages at a total. So i feel more than the number of pages the uality of content and presentation would count in that case.

Rest depends on you, like how you want your portal to be, what is it related with ect. You can accordingly setup pages.

If it is a business site, you will have to balance out trust and communication with short and sweet. Many people would like to know who they are dealing with, so informational pages are a must. However, too many pages can create confusion with the user and they may in fact turn away from your site. This is why you must find a balance between the two.

The input is good, thank-you. And I am thinking I will only have a few pages. I do not like to go to websites that have page after page. I want something that is easy to navigate and easy to find information.

That's good. It's always better to keep it simple rather than complex or overdone. Users don't like wasting their time on sites when they know there are many others they can visit, so simple and fast is the way to go.
