What is the best rate to charge for article writing service?

I've seen people accepting fees as low as 0.01/word for article writing services. I mean we should realize that the rate above is grossly too low and the people buying it are actually reselling it for higher rate. Can you just imagine for a decent 500word article published for a PR6 site has the potential to earn more than 100 bucks from visitor's visit and that is just a day.

In my country, they hired people to make 1 article with 1 dollar. Its normal rate. Some of them rate that article depend on the good and quality for that article. Actually, its depend on you with buyer article or others service.

I good rate for 500 words or so is $5.00. Yes you can find people all over who will write for much less. However, usually those who will write for very little money do not provide quality writing services. I know some people who need and want the highest quality articles and will even pay more than $5.00. It depends on the client.

I know writers who like the going rate of $0.02/word, which would mean that 500 word article would be $10.00 not, $5.00. I suppose it all depends on the quality and the want/need of a writer.

Hmmm...unless you are from third world countries which can convert the money into decent amount, I still feel 0.02 per article is too low. A decent amount should be something like 0.03/words. At least give some credit to the writer on this.

Ehm, yap. Its also another good guidelines for us. We also charge depend on that words. 100 word for 1 dollar. I think its better right? Or 1 cent for 1 word. Many my friends do that.

But like you said, its depend on your deal with your customer. Sometimes they will pay you more if your work is really great!

I think the rate depends on reputation as well. If you have good reputation that comes with providing quality contents + turnaround time, then you have the right to demand more from your service. Most of those asking for low fees are most probably novices.

Actually, its depend on your deal with the writer of that article. If both of you fine with the rate, i think its enough. So, if you have good reputation, its also can make your rate is higher too!

Well just want to raised up this issue to alert that there is somehow a standard whereby we can set for ourselves before we jump into agreement. It's not like "cheap labor" or "desperate attempt". It's basically protecting our right as content suppliers.

Yes it is true that you have to make sure you do not charge a rate that is too low. If that happens then people soemtimes wonder if your work will be highly quality.

Yeah, like it means no standard of quality to your work, that's why you are offering it cheap.
Similar like discounted item whereby there a catch to it.
