Copyscape Banner!!! What is its significance with copyright??

I have seen that copyscape allows you to put a copyscape banner on your site.

Was just wandering what was the significance of that banner. Does using that banner state that the content is yours and you have not copied if prom somewhere or does it mean that no one can copy your content.

But what i saw is that they dont have any such strict disclaimer or TOS. So any one can just copy content and put that banner on their site.

It depends on the visitors as well to make their own judgment. You can practically put whatever you want on your site but without taking effort to make sure the credibility, it just create a mocking experience.
