US company background check

Let's say we intend to conduct business with a US company. So how can we find out whether the company is reliable. Is there a business association website whereby we can check out their background and government listing so that we can get true picture and information?

I think if we ask the company directly surely they will give us a good picture of how well their company is doing. That why I would like to check out whether there is any independent source we can find out about it.

I would as for feedback on the forums. Many times you will be speaking of a company in which others have done business. You can look for reviews and ratings on the company. Do a Google to learn more about the company.

Ehm, i will check when the domain will expired and i will check about the name of people who run that company. If seems suspicious, i will never involve with that..

What I'm asking here is a government body or regulatory system whereby there will be a rating to list which company is dependable. Not just asking them. Anybody could just ask the company which they want to deal with, but do they provide an honest answer?

The BBB is always a good resource to gauge the reputation of a company. And another quick and dirty way is too google the company name and add the word scam. You may be amazed what the results yield!

The problem is that a offical check and show up postivite whereas a google search can show its true colours

Hmmm....Not all will necessary show up unless the right and proper keywords are inserted in but thanks anyway. That will come in handy.
