Shilling Legal?
Shilling is the practice of setting up fake blogging accounts to talk up your own products and talk down on others. This practice has been quite pervasive for quite sometime but may be more rampant now due to stiffier competition.
Shilling is definitely unethical but has it crossed the legal boundary?

It shouldnt really, its just like hiring actors to appear in a advert for something they hate, they are pretending to enjoy the product which in itself is false advertising misleading the general public.
A company sets up a blog to say how good their product is, false advertising by paying someone (in house or out sourced) to write about how good their product is. Companies are out to make money, simple as that
