One of the best ways which I always use is to clear my cookies everytime I exit the browser. This way, there's no traces left that could be misused by other people.

Thanks for the link LIOWKC. BTW only a few seem to be followed or rather sem easy to follow in day to day internet use.

BTW hwang so you actually preffer doing that???? I hardly or never deleate the cookies. Just leave them untill they expire.

BTW its unsafe to do that but having them intact helps surfing faster and I evn dont need to log in again and again. Thats the reason why I keep them.

I am as lazy as life31 keeping cookies for convenience. I really admire Hwang's diligence and discipline in getting rid of them after each session

Well I have no choice because I log in to my paypal account and online banking account quite often, so I don't mind clearing as frequent as possible. More work at the expense of security

Hmm I think I should take up this good habbit from you! Even I log into my paypal and netbanking account but never bothered to deleate the cookies. BTW thnks for making me aware of the possible threats.

BTW for deleating cookies after every session I think FF is the best option. You can set firefox to deleat cookies after you close browser.

Yeah, that's what I always do. Most of the time, when I open the cookies folder, I can trace a lot of different things and information just by opening it in notepad. And you will be surprised that it will remind you of all the sites you once visited.

It's much easier to clear internet history in FF compared to IE and usually there's no traces left. That's also one of the reasons why I love using FF in the first place.

You could always start using a MAC also. No one seems to care about the MAC users since it is such a small part of the computer market.

I'm thinking of going that way.

But I like the cookies vanish idea after each session too.
