Default Prisoners' data lost

Personal information on every prisoner in England and Wales had been lost, admitted the British government recently.

The informaton includes the names, dates of birth and addresses of more than 30,000 repeat offenders.

Guess no data is safe in anyone's hands.

Talk about negligence. Those are very important information which can help identify those repeat offenders and to track them down. It's really unfair because those who have committed crimes in the past will now have a clean slate to start with.

I wonder why nowadays more and more types of personal datas are lost through governments, banks and other corporate entities. This is really a frightening trend.

Wow if a prison can do that, wonder what other facilities can do it? All those people, being able to come up with there own history. This is why believe that there should be paper trails on everything, unless they lost the paper trails as well. May be there should be triplicate of everything. Identities are important.

In a related and ironic twist to the prisoner saga, a disc containing personal details of 5000 justice staff went missing. Those affected are employed by the National Offender Management Service, many of them prison officers.

Guess now prisoners and prison officers have something in common
