IDs Stolen to sell Fake Goods

Some 3000 cases of stolen IDs to sell fake goods on Yahoo Japan's online auction sites. The "selllers" not only just got their identities stolen, but also charged an auction fee.

A systematic flaw in view of so many fraudulent sales?

If there's no control to verify and validate the identity of the account, this will lead to abuse. The simplest way is to attach and require personal ID for the account opening or have system like paypal in order to get verified account.

No I dont think its a flaw, or yahoo. I think that it is a group of people or one person who is messing with the system. I think yahoo will take care of it.
