Default What has happened to e-gold?

Did you guys notice that lately the amount and frequency of e-gold accounts getting closed is more and more these days? Even today when I was at another forum, a guy also mentioned the same thing that happened to him.

Closing accounts? I just wonder what do they do with the money since there's no refund involved.

I don't think so. My account still fine. Might be some account already have bad activities and e-gold found it and choose to close that account. But i agree that many people said something like that.

Hmmm sounds that even e-gold has descided to look seriously into its business. Yes the main cos of it would most probably be scam alerts and suspicious activities something like what paypal does.

But then paypal does not directly close any account. The account gets limited first. E-gold should also implement something similar process.

Hey and dont they refund the money after closing accounts??? How bad??? Worst situation that could be!

Yeah life31, I thought it was just that the members involved were doing illegal stuff but when I read more, it seems that it is quite apparent that something not right is going on.

Yap. Its totally different with paypal. But todays, some of my friends have got limit to login their account. If your e-gold account have active transaction, they will do limit your account one time. How to reover that e-gold account? You just need to put your date of birth at your account after you login. Many people angry about that because not all of them get back their account. Even its happen to me.. But i manage to get back my account.

Another one, if you really not have bad activities, contact e-gold. They will investigate. Many people got back their account and many after that.

Hmmmm seems like they are checking wether the account is a fake or a legit account. Most of the time when faking an account we always enter some random names and dates ect but then later forget it. But if its your real account then it would contain most of your true and real info and birth dates so you can remember it easily.

Good trick there used by them to scrutinize some unnecessary scamming.

Geee...But I don't understand if they are really serious about identifying the users they could adopt like paypal method like linking and verifying credit cards. Maybe withdrawal through credit cards as well.

But anyway, the birth date confirmation is easier and much better. It's a good and excellent + simple idea.

Kind of lucky enough to get away with it or it would have been some serious problems.
Anyways see that you remember it now. Rather you most probably never forget it now

Hmmm....the last time heard, lots of my internet marketing buddies don't really trust egold right now. Well it very rare to hear people paying in egold or accepting in one. Most users would rather stick with paypal.
