Is it possible to downgrade your Premier account to Personal account?

Is it possible to revert our Premier account back to our previous Personal account in paypal? I find that the charges that they are charging for accepting payment (even if it is not cc payment) has started to accumulate. I would like to therefore revert back to my Personal account so that I can receive non cc payment for free. How do I convert my account and is there any way to do it?

I think you can do that but I am quiet not sure how about to do that. But you can do that for sure. I remember reading that somewhere in the help cntre at paypal. Just go to paypal and in their help and check out the options out there. If that doesent help finally you can always mail or contact their support team and ask them about it.

You can do that. But only one time. What you need to do? You only need to email them or reply to their support. They will email you and ask again if you really serious to do that. Its only take 1-2 days for that. Just email them first..

yes you can only do it one time. so better make sure of your decision first before downgrading your account. for me it took me 3 days to downgrade.

Contact the support, but I do not know if you can go back to Premier if you wanted to

If you already done downgrade, you can go and get premier or business account anytime. But if you want to downgrade again after you upgrade for 2nd times, you not allow to do that. Paypal will think you try to play stupid thing with them.

Just make sure you don't upgrade-downgrade-upgrade too many times beyond the limit - for me, I had remain at Personal account level despite Paypal asking me to upgrade.

Also once you upgraded, you cannot downgrade through the system Paypal will be able to do that for you but it takes up to a week

Hoho. Yap. But not many people know that they really can downgrade. Their option that time, create another more paypal account. HOho..

So far, i prefer if some of you read their TOS and rules first.

Creating one more paypal accout is a quick fix but doesn't answer the fundamental question of why it is almost impossible to downgrade. Of course the real economic reason is that a premier account allows paypal to charge more.

Premier accounts are ment to be for traders etc. Its almost like paying business tax in the end, I have never sold anything via paypal but due to the amounts coming in it was made sense to change over, but again it costs alot of money :/.

The question you really want to ask yourself is do you want to stay with paypal when there are loads of sites out there who do it cheaper but who have LESS of a market or keep Paypal with a large market and fork out the costs

Yeah, basically I could last not long with Premier account. The charges are too high and the deductions are really hurting. I have to choice but asking my relative to accept certain large payment on my behalf. Anyway, I still have the Premier account until today.
