Paypal Levying More Charges

Do you think that nowadays, Paypal has been levying more and more types of fees on different types of transactions. I got this awful feeling that they are following the footsteps of ebay - their parent company.

Really? I'm not really sure about that. So far, i'm just fine with that charges. Maybe because i always get some payment. SO, i'm not really care about that.

Yeah, if I remember correctly the charges wasn't this high previously. It was much lower although I can't remember the exact figure. If you add up all the fees that you have paid until now, you will get shock as how much goes to their pocket.

I don't like when get payment in credit card. Many deduction and fees very high. But nothing we can do if want to continue use paypal

I just hope that another viable competitor will come to the market and take on paypal - I think paypal is too dominant and powerful.

It can only happen if everybody is willing to go for a change but looks like at the moment, the situation doesn't point to it happening. Moneybooker and Paypay looks like viable options but if everybody else still sticks to paypal, the trend is going to last for a very long time.

I also use egold but fee also same. I don't pay when send money but receive also get my payment deducted. I see moneybookers and they also charge high fee.

Payments to my account only hit around $10 a day and Im charged anywhere from .40 to .50 for it, yes it is annoying but I think its worth paying charges on a good service then trusting your money with something else :S

Well, it's even worse if let's say you receive only $1 payment. The 30cents deduction + receive payment charges only leave you with around 60 cents. No choice if you want to continue live with paypal.

Well its a pain yes, but paypal need to make money. We might not agree with the amount they charge, but people will always pay it because its a easy service to use

What to do - Paypal clearly has the market power over merchants and over us - the only way is to have a equally strong competitor, Microsoft ugh?

Yap. Like Google. They have their own follower. Its same like paypal. Paypal also have great follower. Many people will use paypal. But not all people will use Google.

I do like the idea that it only costs 25p (flat rate) for anything under £50 and free over £50, meaning I can withdraw money to my bank account without loosing alot of cash
