Never use the same password for all your accounts (banks, payment processors)
Recently my friend highlighted to me that it's rather dangerous to use the same password for all your accounts. I'm sure a lot of people are doing the same thing and in fact myself also did the same for the sake of convenience and so that it's easy to remember.
Well, try not to because in case the admin of the site have bad intentions. I guess that is true to certain extent.

Re: Never use the same password for all your accounts (banks, payment processors)
Hmmmm... I did used to do that earlier but then when i came to know about the high risk associated I changed most of my passwords and startd avoiding it. Morever I developed a habbit of writing them down or taking a print out of the confirmation email latter.
Nowdays sometimes i even feel it insecure to submit email id to some sites too.

Yeah, after I started to realize the risk, what I did was I changed all the passwords for all major accounts (banks, cc and payment processors). Now I have a hard time remembering all of it.

Pick one thing you love the most (be it cars, pc's, animals etc etc) take 3 or 4 parts of your chosen subject add a combination of numbers and different cases for the letters for different passwords, change the catergy every month. Always good

Yap and not forget your password. I also advice not make too hard until you also can forget your own password. If you afraid to forget your password, save at your mobile phone. Its more better than you never save at others place.

Re: Never use the same password for all your accounts (banks, payment processors)
Yes its too too difficult all those passwords and codes.
Lol the height of this was when i entered an ATM chamber inserted my card in the slot and then could not remember the code..... Then tried it for three times and left bare handed...
Any idea to remember those ATM codes..... I got 4 cards of 4 different companies and then eventually i land up entering different code for a different card

In theory, one should use different userids and passwords for each site or acccount, but practicalities make it possible to carry it thru. My compromise is to have a few combinations committed to memory.

Sometimes you could also create a coded message in which only yourself only understand. For example if your password "liowkc", just write down "mjpxld". It's your password with the alphabets each succeeding the actual ones. Somekind of secret code.

Re: Never use the same password for all your accounts (banks, payment processors)
Thats good advice! You should also be extremely carefull who, if anyone you share your passwords with.
I used to trade on-line with my flat mates until one day I woke up to discover one member that sold a lot of doggie items, we had received a lot of negatie feedback, and our joint paypal business account had been emptied. Of course she denied all knowlegde.
My advice is this be very careful who you trust.
