Default Hackers now intend to use ebay to hack your payment accounts????

All of a surprise i got a mail in my spam which read:

ebay-secure

Unpaid Item Message from xxx-: #xxxxxxx -- response required

Dear member,

ebay co. member nascar-stuff- has left you a message regarding item #xxxxxxxxxxxx

View the dispute thread to respond..

Regards,

eBay

And the link takes you at a clone of ebay. I recived mails about paypal money booker ect but ebay was a first time.

And the most important think is is i did not use e-bay for couple of months and i received the mail to a different email which i never attached to ebay

Verry funny.

Pleae do check it twice if you get any such mails and Please dont folow any such links to be on a safer side.

Seems like hackers are now thinking every new and possible ways to get to your password. Those unsuspecting users who got shocked receiving that message will sometimes react hastily without thinking further. It's good to see you sharing the information with us.

Ya hacker indeed need to try some new new things to hack. Not the same old trick would work for them every time

I think only by means of sharing we could be safe from those hackers. Whwn you know about something you always tend to think over it before taking action. So inded this would help youll getting some idea about those hackers.

Thanks for your comments.

Its always better to keep a track of your items on ebay, if you use it regularly.I get many of such emails almost every week, claiming to be coming from the real companies and asking for my account number for payment or credit card info.Hackers are everywhere on internet and you can never avoid them..But with experience you learn how to ignore them.I use gmail and it offers me a perfect service along with my firefox browser.I get notified every time, that the email can be a phishing mail,so, it has never been a narrow escape but a complete one for me..

That's why never log in to your account whether it is a payment processor account, bank account or just about anything else through email. Lucky for you did the right thing. Certain people who are new to the internet world may not realize about this issue.

This is something totally awkward going on. I hope newbies don't get scammed from this. A person may not be aware and it seems like everything sure points to a valid website. Maybe you can setup a website/blog telling people about this

I think a lot of people would find that interesting. A blog about different scam tactics. That would attract readers I guess. I wish I have time to work on that.

Hope people dont learn to scam learning it from my blog finally.

And how about adsense running along with that niche. Would they allow? Hope it would not be a problem later
