Does anyone here who runs a business or offers freelance services, accept credit cards? I have seen various options for online businesses to be able to accept credit card payments.

Yap. I'm accept credit for my freleance service and my design service. My blog service also accept credit card. But only with someone i can trust first especially for my friends. If someone i never know, i will never accept it.

Why do you want to directly accept credit card payment? Wouldn't it be much easier if you just use a third party merchant account like paypal to accept cc payment? If you want to direct receive, then there is a long process whereby you will need to look for a bank that will allow you to open your own merchant account. This will usually involve higher fees.

I know about that. But some peope love to pay using credit card. Its just fine with me. But i only accept buyer from my country. If not, i will never accept it.

So how did you receive the CC payment? Through 2checkout or something? I didn't there's a way you can directly receive it without using a merchant account

There is a way that people can use a credit card to make a payment to you if you are using PayPal because I have had people pay me this way.

OF course using paypal. If not, how i can accept that. But i will ask them first they are from my country or not. If not, i will never accept that payment.

That's a fact that everybody knows about CC payment through paypal. But there's also an option whereby buyers can also pay directly using their credit card without having a processor account. However the seller needs an intermediate account such as 2checkout or worldpay for the buyer to pay direct using their CC.
