Can paypal limit your account if suddenly....

Can paypal limit your account if suddenly you receive large amount of money in one single transaction? I recently came across a review saying that it's best to avoid one single big payment and instead request your buyer to split it into smaller payments. The reason: paypal might suspect you are into money laundering.

Is there any basis to this allegations?

Ya that could be a reason. Even i heard about it. Basically they dont ban you out there they just want to know from here and for hat you received those funds and your proper identity.

In that case i suppose once you prove your identity or my be call them they imediately remove the limitations.

Yes. Thats the answer. Paypal can do that and when they feel something wrong at your account and their think you trying to play or cheat to them. They will limit your account or suspend it. So, be careful about that. I already face it before. But its also fine right now.

Well, just be to be on the safe side, I think the best thing to do is never leave paypal money in your account. Anyway it doesn't give any interest (unless you invest in the money market fund) and potential they might limit your account for no specific reason.

Maybe. I always withdraw my money as fast i can do. I just do that yesterday and at my paypal i always leave 10 dollar just in case if i need to pay someone. Hope i can earn well today.
