Default Openions about registering your names or surnames as domain's!!

I see a lot of people these days who actually preffer to register their names and surnames as domain names and start up a site.

Earlier it was preety famous for blogs having personal name but now its irrelevent sites over those names. There are lots of famous and very high traffic blogs of certain persons like shoemoney, johnchow and many more. And by now most of he surnames are almost gone you would be preety lucky to find your's!

So what are your openions about registering such domains. Did you ever think of it or did it ever come up to your mind??

Geee...For me I would rather get a domain name which is SEO friendly and using important keywords.

It's kind of personal to have your name as your domain but then unless you are somebody famous, people would start type the address straight away. Hmmm...it depends. There are good and bad. It's up to what you want.

The keyword point always is worth.

Yep thats right that we arent famous and no one will type our name directly but then we can keep hopes that we get famous too that too for our domain names or the site or blog

I think every one like johnchow and shoemony got famous after their blog names and thats the reason every one knows them.

Yeah, you are right. Instead your domain name will make you famous.

I think even if you can't get your .com domain that represents your name, you always have the choice to go for .me
That's what the purpose it is created in the first place.
.me sounds more personal...

Well it depends on individual preferences. For me, it's easier to go for domain names that are SEO friendly but obstacle here is that the names are most probably no longer available. That's why a good bet is to go for own name which is most probably available.

Maybe you should choose one "fancy" name to represent yourself

If you are not famous enough, then don't use your name in your domain as it will mean nothing to your audience. There are not many Trumps or Gates in this world.

@liowkc No I don't think that's true in any way. What life31 mentioned is correct. Develop domain based on your name that you bought and then optimize it and bring in traffic. So it's the other way round that the domain will make you famous instead.
