.info one of the dangerous Web domains

McAfee found that .info is one of the most dangerous domains to navigate also other like ".hk" (Hong Kong), ".cn" (China) are in the list.

I think it's kind of unfair for them to make a generalized statement based on assumption. I wonder on what grounds that lead them making such a move. I think some [dot]com are even worse compared to [dot]net.

Might be they monitered the number of spam or scams occuring and the domains related to it. Out of the personal domains they might have excelled.

Or might be its a random statement only over the point that .info is one of the cheapest domain to register and so most of the scammers or spammers would preffer spending $1 on a .info rather then a $7 or $9 .com

Even if that's the case, nobody has the right to make that assumption. It's like stereotyping and if it means generally only a few only is the bad apple. So what are they trying to tell us? avoid all websites with that domain? Hmm...
