How to register high PR domains assoon as they are dropped??

These days lots of people live on flipping domain names and they do make a huge profit from it too.

But then I just wonder how do they come to know that a particular domain is dropped and how do they get it then.

People seem to be all set to grab those high PR domains as soon as they drop. Any ideas about how they have been doing that???

Geee...do you mean to say, grab the domain as soon as possible when the owners decided not to renew anymore? It's very rare that it happens that way and it's only because the owner forgets about it.

thats true! Most of the time its due to the owners mistake that the high PR domains expire and wen the owner comes to know about it, its already late I even came across some examples like the owner later contacted the person who bought the domain with the intrest of buying it again??? So what would you do if you were it and would you let it off for a nominal price ????

Well, I would but at higher price...but not ridiculously hefty or outrageous in any sense. Pity...it's his work and at least we should consider giving back what belongs to the person. It's like you found a wallet with money inside but you would return the money back to the rightful owner.

Appreciate your honesty there!

But then let me tell you that most of the time rather maimum times the domains which expire are from the ones which are parked or owned by domain filppers. Hardly a few might be of a person who actually run up their business or site over it.

So do you still intend to return it to the flipper's

Me I probably would see if its owner was a legit site owner with his business ove it and return it back for some nominal price, but if its any of those flippers or parked domain then rare posibilities

Hmmm....maybe when I comes to flippers, then I would reconsider
But then the chances for this occurring is very rare. Somehow, I just don't know how to constantly monitor domain expiry. Can't just sit and wait everyday. Is there a special software that can monitor for you?

Hmm dont exactly know??? There might be softwares. But certainly there are online scripts whith which you can check them out. Moreever the registrar or your domain host also sends out a mail to you asking for renewal if it isant on auto-renewal.

No...what I meant was, if a person intend to grab other people's domain when they expiry, how do they do it? I'm sure they don't just sit and wait. Maybe by the time, they realize it's available others would have grabbed it.

Nope I fell they do wait and watch the domain getting dropped and finally one who makes it to register it first is the winner.

Actually you can know which domains are about to be dropped on what dates. The domains dont get dropped the same day when they are expired but i think ther's a month or three month period after the actual expired date during which the domains are in the posession of the ICANN or some other authority. So if the owner is intrested then he can get those domains from them by paying a fee of $80 or $89 and if it isant registerd then they are dropped finally.

So might be the domain flippers moniter these dates and get them before anyone else registers it.

I think they must created a tracking software to help them do the job. It's much easier that way. Well it's worth grabbing since they can earn back the money by resale the domain later at higher price.
