Free vs paid domains

Now its really just a quick question, I have ALWAYS used paid domains to host my pointless junk (and if you have ever looked at my site you will know why).

Just really to find out why you use either paid or free one's just as a over all survey if you will

Nah...Usually what they will offer is some free stuff, something like 12 months free trial and after that you have to pay to them and usually they will put ads on your site which is very annoying. I would rather pay for my own domains.

HOnestly, i prefer to use paid domain. Its more better and thats your own domain. You can use your own domain for many thing. For make blog, forum and anything with your paid domain. Free domain have too many thing you cannot do that.

And the main feature about owning your own domain is that you dont have to worry about OTHER people making money from the ad's on your site, because you put your own on!

Haha. I agree with that. Many people never thing about that. They just think its really expensive to buy they own domain and hosting. So far, if they really know the real fact, they will buy more domain everyday.

You can buy a .com for $4 for a year or two then $5 for a years worth of hosting.

If you have a massive user / reader base with a good CTR on ad's you can make that back instantly

I havent heard much about getting free domains!!! May be only some site which provide some free URL redirections or some domains without any DNS.

But may it be free domain or an url redirection they all hav Ads displayed on your site and most of the times your site appears in a frame.

The best option here would be buy a domain and put your own ads. May be doing this at the end of the year by the time your domain is about to expire you atleast could get some funds through those ads whith which you can renew the domain

Or may be if you are good enough you can always make a lifetime earning from it. Rather then earning for someone else

Really? Which site or hosting site sell for that amount? I like to know more about that site that cheap domain site only for 4 dollar..

I got mine via a reseller, all he said when I got it was "write one post about my site (a good one) and ill do it cheap for you", Im not really allowed to give out the details as its against forum rules sorry lol.

I recently spent another $1 to increase the bandwidth to unlimited lol

HOho. How he manage to get that? Only pay 1 dollar and get unlimited bandwith? Hoho. I hope i also will get that..
