Hey don't forget to renew your domain names when they are due. Very important to pay attention to this. I know this guy that "forgot" and before he knew it - his domain name had been purchased - for a low fee (which he didn't even recieve since he didn't have that name registered because he forgot) So his name had been resold and he didn't find out until someone told him they clicked on his site and it was someone elses stuff.

I guess this guy really wasn't paying attention to his business.

Come to find out - he had gone away for a few months, thinking things would be okay until he got back.. He didn't realize he was getting near the deadline.

Yeah, one should always keep track of their renewal dates. Sometimes a good registrar should be able to inform on the domain expiration so that you could act on it. That's why use only email address you always check often is a good idea, or else even if the reminder comes, you might have missed it.

Of course i never forget about that. If not, my site will have problem if i forget to pay to my webhosting provider. So far, i always see at my email because i already put one note for that.

I just got back in on mine, I went on one day to update my blog and the site had been parked, I worked my ass off to get it back before someone stole it off of me. Got it back for $5 in the end but didnt want to loose it

Well, you are really lucky to have got it back. I know there are others who lost their domain and losing it, is a price worth much more than that.
