Aged .com selling for low price?

Recently I've come across domain auctions for aged (3 -5 years) registered domain selling for low prices with thousands of backlinks. Some as low as 25 bin. Hmm...any idea why the price is so low? Although I never ask in detail because I don't have intention to buy anyway, but I'm just wondering why it can be sold at such low price. I thought the longer it is, the higher the price could get...maybe more than 100. But 25 bucks???
