one way links

One way links are valuable to getting ranked on the search engines. Here is a way for us all to get some - let's try this and see how it works.

Let's post our site links in this thread. Then each of us here on the forum can come to this post and choose sites that are relevant to thiers and provide a one way link.

Post here each time you have given someone a one way link. Post a link to where thier one way link can be found.

I don't quite know how to finish this off - I will need some suggestions. We could just leave it as we are doing a good deed for others here on the forum but there may be a bit more motivation if there is some "prize" or some incentive for giving one way links.

Can someone think of an incentive?

Best thing to do would be "just friends" comp's can cause problems to make it look like a link farm and get in trouble with google lol (sorry I talk about google alot I know).

It would be nice to have a few links on other sites, but I wouldnt simply just have a link, I like to explain why im linking to a site, it gives my readers a better idea of what they will be looking at etc.

So if anyone is interested I wouldnt mind setting up a "Friends of ADW" page, unpaid links with descriptions and maybe a logo for it :P

I can see what you mean about it looking like a link farm. I hadn't thought about that. I was just thinking of helping each other out. This is probably not a good idea. Thanks for showing me a different point of view. That is what forums like this are about - steering each other in a better direction.

Somehow I also afraid that there might be other problems as well such as link relevancy. Different topics might not match together somehow.

You should only exchange links with people you know and have to at least talk about it in some detail as it helps people understand whats going on

Hmmm.... Maybe somehow this will work if there's a section for link exchanges here so that people who has interested can choose and decide whether they want to strike up a deal.

I think a section for link exchanges would be great but we could probably use the link section that is already created. Anyone that wants to can just start a new thread and title it "Link exchange with a Natural site" or "link exchange with a home decor site"

Then anyone interested can post and exchange info.

I was originally trying to figure out a way to get one way links on all of our sites from other sites here. One way links are more powerful than reciprocal links. Both are good so if we can only find a way to do reciprocal than that is better than nothing.

Geeee.... Maybe we can go for link bait as well if we are determined to get one way link. What I observed is that once you get your article published in article website, others will want to take the article and quote it at their site and thus you getting natural one way backlink. It happens to my blog.
