While browsing through link building strategies, I've read that certain people mentioned that it's best to build links to increase the number gradually so that it will appear natural. Best to avoid many links at one go. I don't how it will help by doing that and I'm not sure what the logic of doing this. Anyone can share their view on this?
Ya thats agreed. Its just a trick to make google not to think of you on the basis of buying links.
After google has started penalising sites on the point of buying links. People have started to be a bit smarter and try to convince and cheat google saying that it was a gradual increase in their link amount without buying any.
Its always obvious that if all of a sudden you have 100 or 1000 links right in the first week or first month of your site its nothing other than buying links.
I see. So it's like telling Google the sites get famous naturally? Kind of interesting. I didn't know that Google bots will keep a data and check on the website progress until so detailed. So does it mean it must be a gradual increase or can you have a sudden jump and then decrease again? Which one would be better?
Google has become a pretty smart engine in that it is beginning to tell whether or not the links were paid for. If your site becomes a hit, then you will have a lot of links streaming in, constantly for awhile.
