Links through Web templates

Recently I've come across some business deals whereby a guy actually paid a designer to come up with few good web templates and embed inside the company links at the template. Those templates are then offered free of charge and the users that download it will use the templates with the links as per it is. Great idea eh for link building? So if you have 100 over people using the templates, what you will get is another 100 over links

Its one of the best ideas on the net, everyone has used a freebie in their time and most people will never change the links due to lack of understanding of HTML. I would say for every 10 templates which are downloaded 3 of them will remove the links, which is against the law in a sense if you offer them for free but hell, it doesnt really matter

Yeah, then it will spread like wildfire. Imagine if you double your effort and create 100 over templates and each template has 100 users, just imagine what 100 x 100 can get. These people are sure smart with their great ideas.

It's a great idea of creating a backlink. and if the website using your template is very successful, you too will benefit from it. It's sort of viral business actually. A good template created by you (once), with a good content created by the webmaster (many times) will be loved by Google and the traffic equally. If it's a bad content, well... it will never have much traffic to worry about a residual bad effect!

Yes. that's true and I think it's a very good way not only to get backlinks but also it can help on the traffic as well. If your link is there people might find it and then lead to your site.
