link exchange groups

Have you ever joined those groups in which you are able to exchange links with other website or other forums for free? I was wondering how effective these groups are.

I used to use them along time ago... all 2 years back lol, I will say this they are good for about 2 weeks then the links go missing etc, its ok to have your link out there but if you expect people to put these links on their site and not just leave it on a forum then it takes alot of work to make sure its all running smooth and doesnt fall over when they get a better offer.

Forum ones are the way to go, but the problem is after 1 week its gone forever unless someone comes and posts on your thread

It usually happens that way especially on link farms. Sometimes after the exchange has been done, and if you don't monitor it, it will go missing after some time. It's just a collateral agreement, that's all.
