is it ever worth it to buy links

I am wondering if anyone has ever purchased links? If you have done so, did it end up paying off? This is not something that I really believe in doing but am still interested in hearing everyone's opinions and experiences.

I already buy some link at some good site. Its more better than i use PPC because i can target my buyer and traffic easily. No need many traffic from US if my product only for my local target. Its good just in 1 week i manage to get $300usd after do little promotion for my new e-book..

It's usually not worth doing that. Why not exchange for some good links? If you buy your link and don't track it, people might remove the link without your knowledge and there's no guarantee the link will stay there forever. Instead go for link exchange and save the money for other important things like domain hosting.

Of course we need to track and always monitor about that, if not, i will never buy that link. Sometimes i buy link and space at some blog which really have many visitor. Its really can help me to earn more sales next time..

I like to come up with ways to get links for free rather than paying for links. You can sometime approach webmasters about having a link exchange with them. Of course, article writing is another way to get links to your site.

Yeah, try to submit to as many articles site as possible with your links attached. That way it is a free link and you can have targeted traffic to your website as well.

Ya may be if you need you can buy them so that you are permenantly listed. But nowdays i noticed that there's a huge list of directories which accept link for free.

I mean the regular links without any reciprocal and even the reciprocal is always free. You could always for for such ones if you dont intend to pay.

Of course another way is to submit to social bookmarks and get an automatic backlink. With so many options available, I don't see there's ever a need to buy a link unless of course you have the cash to spend.

I'm not sure. I see people complaining about buying links and get a PR reduction. If we purchase, then doesn't this mean google will punish us for it? I just like to know how can google find out if we buy links. Do they monitor forums?

Yeah, I guess you did raise a point there. Google will actually penalize you if they found out that the links are paid for. Usually they will know from the web announcement and all the search engine needs to do is to scan for "pay for links" keywords. It's worth buying links. Go for either link bait or link exchange.

Link bait. I see from google search that it like get websites to link to you naturally. Link exchange meaning you exchange with another party. So many to learn here and interesting. Thx

What do you mean exactly by buy links? Not paying to advertise on someones site right? I don't do this only because my site is to new. I have not made enough to start putting money out lol

Buying links mean if you have a site, then somebody else who is interested in your site will pay you a certain amount of money so that you can place code there. It works like that.
