What SEO Clients want?

After my 2years experience in SEO I found that there is a 4 types of client in SEO.
1. Client who want Traffic on site.
2. Client who want Leads.
3. Client Who want PR upgrade.
4. Client who want ranking in major search engines.

Also there are a few kinds of SEO companies:

1. Scammers
2. People who will spam your site onto blogs
3. People who will run autosurf programs on your site

No SEO companie can get you to number 1 without some sort of con. Sorry but thats just the way it is (some are good but almost use link farms to boost PR :S )

95% or may be 99% of the SEO companies and companies selling traffic use unfair means.

Again 90% of the traffic and leads are unnatural and fake.
The leads generated are usually multiple accounts and the traffic usually comes from auto surfs.

Thanks, I know this because I have been conned by a company (I wont name names, I think they have gone under now anyway) who put auto surf onto my site, I lost my PR, my alexa ranking everything, Ive worked very hard to get it back up to what it is today

So now after we having a live example from Llamalord regarding the cons its always better that we preffer not to go for such tall claims but put in efforts and built out status ourself.

If you want to increase your PR talk to other webmaster, get more links both from sites and into local pages on your own site

Yeah, I happen to agree on the autosurf programs thing. If you search around in the net, there are some who practice that to con people.

I always believe in honest hard work in building your website word by word and link by link. To me, using Search Engine Optimization services is akin to treating a symptoms of the disease instead of curing it. And SEO services cost money too just like any quack doctors.
