Default forums and blogs

I know that forums and blogs also work to be listed on search engines and to be easy to find. Can you optize these for search engines in similar ways to websites?

Geee...I'm not quite sure what you mean over there. Maybe yeah the optimization works somehow like normal websites and blogs do. Most probably that depends on the traffic and number of posts there as well.

I'm not really sure. Its depend on the platform you use. Its also depend on your content and many thing. If you can do all thing. I believe your site will get list at search engine.

Ok thanks. I was just wondering overall if the criteria for getting listed for forums and blogs was pretty much the same as those for websites.

Here is some of the source code for this thread.

<meta name="keywords" content="forums,blogs,forums and blogs, BevyHost,BevyHost Forum,webmaster forums,hosting,discussion,webhosting,hosting directory,post for host,post 4 host,post host forums, post host" />
<meta name="description" content="I know that forums and blogs also work to be listed on search engines and to be easy to find. Can you optize these for search engines in similar ways" />

You can see that the owner of this forum was able to put in meta keywords (although some of these keywords are not helping much) and when this post was created the Title of this thread became the meta description - so - I would say that yes, forums can be optimized as websites are but the mods of the forum may want to teach the people that are posting to put keywords in the titles of the threads instead of words that aren't important. This way the forum would get recognized sooner and it would have more importance.

Ok. I get what you mean there. Well obviously what you are trying to tell us is that optimization works more or else the same way as with blog, forums and websites.

I suppose what I beleive is this... if you can use keywords you should. It sure can't hurt and since everyone is talking about relevant links, and relevant content - it seems like relevant keywords would be the way to go always. I even use my keywords when I post to forums and when I create emails whenever I can. Whenever they fit naturally. I plan on stacking the deck in my favor whenever possible.

I have learned that without optimization - you go nowhere unless you pay big money.
