I think some of you might have seen this but never mind, thought would just post it here and hope to hear your feedback. It's kind of hard to believe on the results shown, but anyway no harm in looking at the figures

Hmm.. Tool looks good but the as you said I doupt on the figures displayed. But still some figures like the backlinks and other do show the exact figures.

Only the thing I feel suspicious about is the rate quoted to be the price of the website. Any other definate tool that you have known????

I am looking to validate the value of my site inordr to sell it inase if any one is intrested.

You can try and use this one and I think it is much more accurate. Some more it will give suggestions and provide important tips on how to make a website worth a lot.

To me, all this sounds like black magic. But if sufficient number of people believe in these magic numbers, then I guess that is it. Same for a lot of research findings

I cant see any black magic in that now. May be you can say that its a wild guess or an irrelevent prediction.

Might be the scriot is coded in that way so that if it crosses any particular lever of rating its quoted at a descided price.

You can consider this to be a drawback of scripts or software. That they are least practicle

Whatever it is (black magic, educated guess, wild guess etc etc), the trick is to gain wide acceptance of the market. Once everyone buys into the statistics, how the statistic is derived does not really matter. It is just like quoting a research report repeatedly; after awhile only the soundbite remain and everyone had forgotten about the research methodology.

Well when I recommend to life31, I never bother to even try it myself but after checking my own site value, I have to say it really funny and out of this world.
But talk about *black magic* lol....I don't think anyone would believe that kind of figure they are giving.

Thats very true. Now I realise that any software or script cannot actually quote a price of a fully developed site, but it can always quote the price for a domain depending on the traffic PR and other statistics.

Just for an example, a software would most probably quote the same price for a simple design 5 to 10 page site aswell as a site which has high end graphics, animations and great layout.

So its like the rate is quoted dependig on the domain.

Yeah, that right. The human factor in determining the aesthetic demand for a website can never be measured and that's where the weaknesses lies. Sometimes even for a different niche, maybe if you take comparison between a banking and a gardening site, both of them will vary in terms of site value even though they have similar PR ranking and traffic.
