Default Third-party ads now available on the Google content network

Got this mail from google this morning.

Quote:
We've recently enabled the Google content network to accept
display ads served from qualified third-party vendors. At this
time, only ads in English are eligible.

If you're currently opted in to image ads, you're already able to
receive third-party ads. If you've disabled image ads, no
third-party ads will be served on your site. (Learn how to enable
or disable image ads at
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ].)

You may decide to allow third-party ads on your site by opting in,
or remaining opted in, to image ads. If so, we ask that you update
your privacy policy to inform your visitors that third-party
vendors may serve ads on your site. Please also provide links to
these vendor websites and inform your users that they may opt out
of cookies (if the vendor offers this capability). For more
information about updating your policies, visit
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

You'll continue to have full control over which ads appear on your
site with tools like competitive ad filtering and the Ad Review
Center. Also, only advertisers with whom we have proven
relationships and who've clearly demonstrated commitments to our
quality standards may participate in this program. Our policies
governing ad content and formatting remain unchanged.

To learn more about third-party ad serving, please visit our blog
post at
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
and our FAQ at
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to contact us at
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

So now do you intend to use this new feature introduced by google???

That's strange...I'm using adsense on my blog but never receive any email sent by them on this. Have anyone tried? I only use link ads and never image ads, so I'm not really sure how this works out and what it means by third party advertisers? Can help to explain? Thanks

Ads by third parties are ads placed by certain advertisement agents or such intermediate sites and not the actual company. The Company would pay such intermediates for advertising the products and the intermediates instead of huntin for ads place would use google platform for displaying their ads.

Moreever these ads would not contain the "Ads by Google" tag on the ads as they aren't google ads but are ads of the agent or intermediate company.

Hey thanks life31. This is pretty interesting. I actually miss out your reply here and forgot about it. Hmmm...maybe I should sacrifice one text ad unit and replace with one image ad unit. I never try it before and maybe it's a good time now to experiment on the conversion rate. Btw...I need to ask...is the ads serve directly by google worth much more or the ads serve by third party worth more? Any difference on the pay per click amount?

I do have image ads running but then did not notice any specific change in its behaviour till date nor noticed any such ads too. Might be its part and parcel of the google ads but only placed by third parties ???

How's the click through rate? I supposed this should be the same...and do you notice your adsense earning increase coming from third party image ads? This information is very helpful.
