Adsens on Image hosting site?? Is that allowed???

I have seen people adding adsense to their image hosting sites. But something that bothered me that according to adsense TOS you can not put adsense near or next to images and the pag should contain some content.

So isant it of risk putting adsens on such sites?
Any one tried this out? Or do you know any one who suffered because of this?

You should take a look at the latest TOS. If I am not mistaken, the image just need to be framed within a border so that viewers won't link the image to the ads. Also, it is always a possibility to place the the ads above or below the image. I haven't seen an exodus of image hosts from Adsense so far. You have to note that most image hosts are only placing their ads on the main page or gallery pages. They usually put other ads on the pages displaying the images.

Yes you sound to be correct. Even i have noticed lot of people doing that on their image hosting sites. Some even provide adsense sharing on them too.

Was just reluctant after seeing the adds just above the pictures. I think that reply probably makes my doupt clear.

Any ways any more comments on this issue?
