YOu can give a try if you want to be a mod. But did you want to be a free mod first before you can get that paid forum mod? Its hard right? But you can give a try if you want. For selling something, you need to give a try. Its another way how you can earn some money from internet.

Depends what you want to do on the net, I just like to write, I have in a sense sold space on my site for people and also sold some of my writing, but without a product (or dropships) Im not going to be able to sell anything.

As for being a mod, I have been one on a number of old forums, was fun in a sense but such a pain at times

Yap. Actually, many site can buy your article or your works at internet. But after they buy your article, you cannot claim that article is yours. Many site run like that. Just i forget about that. I'm do that 2-3 years ago. Right now, i prefer handle blog and forum only. Thats enough to me.
