Affiliate marketing is one of the best things to have happened to online business. It is a win-win situation for both the merchant as well as the affiliate.

The merchant pays only if a sale takes place. He saves on advertisement costs, building traffic to his sales letters, and can concentrate on giving out a better product.

The affiliate has the means to make money on a global level, even on auto-pilot, without having to look after all the business issues. The job of an affiliate is to create a good niche content, and get web traffic to his own site. He can then divert this traffic to the merchant's site, and can earn good commission. Anybody can become an affiliate freely. There is also no need to stock anything!

It's also easier for the buyers! The buyer has many options. He can get the best product he wants, and the whole transaction is almost 100% automated.

Sales, commissions, and other aspects are tracked securely and automatically too.

Yap. I already did that and thats really good for somene who use affiliate for making money online. I always did that and earn money. So, nothing wrong to try.

Don't follow the crowd! Follow your instincts! There are plenty of methods to become a good affiliate, and the best one, I suppose, is writing good articles and reviews, and submitting to articles submission sites. Get people to read the article and come to your site / blog. From there pass them to your affiliate product! This method is best and challenging. Other method is to use PPC and again get the visitors to opt-in first, then try and sell the your product... you can do this for multiple affiliate products.

After you make a few sales, then you'll find that you can make money easily. So, stop comparing and get busy selling online.

Yap. Even sometimes our felling feels weird or wrong. Nothing wrong if we follow our instinct. Sometimes its good. But sometimes, its bad. Just try your best. If you have your own product. Thats more better.

It's really a new thing for me....hadn't heard about it earlier....but sounds great.....but diverting the traffic on others site won't cost your site????

Affiliate marketing has been around for as long as the internet. Diverting traffic for others site won't cost much except maybe the time spent to setup the landing page and then pay for hosting and also maybe for adwords promotion. But think of it, if you are successful, the reward can be great because the commission paid on every sales most of the time covers the cost of promotion and setting the site. Hope that answers your question.

Somehow I had a bad impression and prejudice against affilate marketers - they all hawk the same product and the product sometimes really sound scammy. Just my thoughts - no offense intended
