I tried submitting my blog to as many directories as possible. However, most of them require that I place a reciprocal link to my blog as well. If I do that, basically the whole page will actually fill up with links to directories. It will make the page design look odd and I have to allocate a certain section just for the links. Do you guys think that having too many will bring negative effect?

I think you should submit to directories slowly. Not all at once GO. Other thing, You have to place your links into GOOD Directories only. There are bad directories much more than GOOD ones. All you have to do is do SLOW submission in GOOD directories only. Then you will have no problem about it. Any other thoughts from other members? Regards

Yes I also feel that it is not good to have many links back to directories on your website or blog. As I said in another post I think this detracts from your site or blog and makes it look less professional.

Actually I don't like the links to be placed all over my website. I think there's a member here which suggested that you create a special page whereby you put all the links there to satisfy them and then only place the link from that page to your main page.

Yes some people do have a link page so that you can meet the requirements of having links back to the directories without having them right on your site. However, some directories do not accept this page as having a link on your site to their directory.

Yeah, in fact they have a requirement as well that you must put in main page and clearly visible. At the moment I'm avoiding all those directories needing reciprocal links.

Usually most directories require a reciprocal link on a page that can be accessed one or two clicks away from your home page. Which is why you might have a separate page for links to directories.

There are some that do not have the reciprocal condition attached but not many of these kinds of site. Other websites usually need reciprocal or either offer paid links. Any you can recommend which is totally free and no conditions attached?

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Just a quick search in Google reveals that there are a number of directories that do offer exactly what you want. They are free, and have no reciprocal link.

I ran through the same searches before. Most of these sites will simply put no reciprocal on their websites (using no reciprocal keyword) but in actual fact when you try to submit, there is actually no options to select no reciprocal.
